Forward-looking NFL schedule difficulty based on projected opponent strength, power ratings, and the number of playoff-caliber opponents. Harder schedules appear at the top of the rankings.
How Strength of Schedule is Calculated
This page uses projected opponent quality rather than simply last season’s record. Schedule difficulty is measured using opponent win projections, power ratings, and the number of games against playoff-caliber teams. Teams are also grouped into schedule tiers such as Top 5 Hardest, Hard, Middle, Easy, and Top 5 Easiest.
